How a misunderstanding around stress creates your reality.

Listen, watch and read to gain insight into the true nature of stress and wellbeing

You’re going to find peace of mind when you find out the true nature of stress

Everyone in the world today has been taught to believe that stress is a problem we have to deal with.

But the world is changing, as people are realising the truth about stress,  and when you learn and see for yourself, the true reality.  Life becomes easier, no matter what your circumstances, the challenges or events you are experiencing right now.

In this video I point to the truth, not by giving you a set of techniques,  but by suggesting a different way of looking at the world, giving you an opportunity to sense a new reality.

I am not saying that ‘stress’ doesn’t exist or that the symptoms are imagined.

So,  I got to thinking who decided stress was a bad thing?

The misunderstanding about the true nature of stress

The guy who was responsible for ‘the birth’ of stress

I found some information about a guy called Hans Selye, Hans was born two years after my Nana and died the day my son was born.  He was a clever guy and understood a lot about the symptoms of stress, you can read more about his life from clicking on the link above.

In my video I also talk about another amazing man called Ignaz Semmilweiz, I was mesmerised when I first heard his story, I feel like I am repeating myself here if you have listened to the video, but he spent years trying to work out why so many women died in childbirth from a disease known as childbed fever.  The clue, and his stress probably came from the fact that he felt responsible in some way as at the time, women who had their babies at home were surviving.

Ignaz Semmilweiz  knew it was something to do with the hospital.  Back in those days (not that long ago) the widely held belief

So doctors like Semmelweis were no longer thinking of illness as an imbalance caused by bad air or evil spirits. They looked instead to anatomy. Autopsies became more common, and doctors got interested in numbers and collecting data.

This is the story of a man whose ideas could have saved a lot of lives and spared countless numbers of women and newborns’ feverish and agonizing deaths.

was that people became sick through bad smells, this was why people carried posies of flowers around with them.  It all seems ridiculous now, because we have seen the truth behind the illusion.

Anyway, the story is told that Ignaz became quite stressed and his buddy told him to go away and have a break saying he would ‘hold the fort’, only when Ignaz returned to work, three weeks later, his buddy was dead!

After carrying out an autopsy it became clear there was a connection with childbed fever and his collegaue’s death.  Ignaz was devastated and also knew there was a link between the new mothers’ deaths and his friend.  At some point he gained insight and realised the scalpel was an indication, from this understanding he  implemented the importance of sterilising and washing hands.

Before this insight, Ignaz, and other Doctors’ after carrying out an autopsy, give the scalpel a quick wipe, to get rid of the blood,  then popped the instrument into  their top pocket ready to use when delivering babies!

When you know the truth it seems ridiculous, but the Doctors back then were doing their best with what they knew to be true.  Infact, poor old Ignaz, was ridiculed, the nurses were annoyed about having an extra thing to add to their list.  His discovery wasn’t believed for years.

He died a depressed man and it was only later that his findings were taken on board to be fact.

This idea of not being believed isn’t new, it generally takes around 30 to 40 years for a new paradigm to become accepted.

If you are still reading and if you watched the above video, you are looking for an answer.

I’m not going to tell you to believe what I say, when I talk about the peace of mind this understanding can give you. But the fact that you are still reading this blog means you are looking for an answer.

Everybody is searching for a good feeling, for peace of mind. But they have been looking in the wrong direction, based on a misunderstanding around the true nature of stress, but, I wouldn’t advise you to believe anything I say until you have read the facts and seen for yourself how we get tricked by old beliefs brought down through the ages.

You can have peace of mind today, because just by reading this blog you are realising the truth.

If you are still curious, take a look at this short youtube clip of Chip & Jan Chipman, they are talking about relationships, but Jan beautifully points to how letting go of a feeling of urgency can change the way you feel and react to stress.

Stress is just a chemical reaction brought on by your thought in the moment, the thoughts your are adding meaning to through what you have learned since the day you were born, you have received experiences and over time attached a bunch of thoughts together to create beliefs, you have taken on values and rules around life, this is your Ego, your Identity, the you, you think you are.  You have a body buy you are not your body, you have a mind but you are not your mind, who you are is much more…

Enjoy …..
