Did you know that diets don't work? The weight loss industry is one of the most successful business's in the world because it's success is built on other people's failures. They come off one diet and then go on another one, again and again. Each time as they slow down their metabolism, once these people come off their diets and start to eat the foods they had deprived themselves of, they put the weight back on and often end up weighing more than before starting the diet. This is sometimes referred to as yoyo dieting.Does any of this resonate with you? Would you like to change, do you believe you can change your way of thinking and have the body of your dreams? I am developing a 12 week coaching programme to help you change your thinking around your weight so that you are in control of your brain and body, allowing you to stop the struggle and embrace a new life. A life where you can begin to enjoy your body, and get to know how your mind works and to realise when you feel that you 'sabotage' yourself, it's just your mind doing what it thinks you want. For example, you really do want to give up chocolate, you are not going to eat it and you have strong will power!.. then evening comes along... you are sat on the sofa.. relaxing after a busy day at work or after the children are in bed... it's your time... and you are feeling good... you are not eating chocolate.. oh but there it is that thought.. you can picture it in your mind.. perhaps its a vision of the bar of chocolate sitting in the fridge and you can imagine your hands reaching out and touching the wrapper, the sensation of breaking off just one piece, you can smell the delicious aroma and almost taste it in your mouth, the wonderful creamy sensation ... is your mouth watering yet? Well reality is that our thoughts happen and our imagination is much stronger than our willpower which has been proved on numerous occasions. So.... next time you want to resist the temptation.. whatever it may be.... this time, when the thought comes along you can develop ways of distracting yourself from acting on those thoughts, it might be externally, by getting up and doing something different, or use your mind to create different thoughts... imagine how good you will feel when you wake up in the morning feeling good, feeling energetic and knowing that you didn't eat the chocolate! :-) Can you imagine a world in which can see yourself actually enjoying exercising?
