Amazing Changes

Hello!

How quickly time flies when we are having fun...

I can hardly believe that I have been back home on the Sunshine Coast for six weeks now!  It seems like only yesterday that I was leaving the UK and my family there to return home.

When I sit for a while and find my mind wandering.. it is easy to allow myself to miss my family but then I catch myself and realise it is my choice to wallow in my misery by reacting to the thought going through my mind ... or...

I can recognise the thought and acknowledge it and then move on to other thoughts, such as... the moment I am living.

Today is such a beautiful day, the sky is blue and I have just returned from the beach where we, my Husband and I  have been walking the dogs, Rosie and Sasha our two Toy Poodles, they  have been running around,  chasing balls and playing with other dogs and just looking at their faces on the journey home in the car, seeing their tongues lolling out and the sparkle in their eyes, they appear to be smiling and just content to relax in their bodies as their breath slows down after their exertions, I feel a sense of gratitude towards them for showing me how to live in the moment.

On another note, I am happy to write about how my running has improved over the past year whilst I have been running in the UK.
As I have written in previous posts, my only company on my runs have been the local sheep and rabbits and although I  had my trusty Garmin watch as a personal trainer, I didn't realise just how much fitter my body was getting as I continued to run on a regular basis.  My routes were Hilly in parts and I guess this is what made the difference to my strength and stamina.

Now I am home I am working on increasing my speed, my next goal is to run a 10k in under 60 minutes.  I entered the 10k section of the  Sunshine Coast Half Marathon the week after my return home and even though I was recovering from a chest infection and a digestive upset, I still managed to complete the 10k in 63 minutes, yes the course was mainly flat apart from the hill at La Balsa, but this result has inspired me to increase my speed.

I love the word 'inspired' and the feelings that this word conjures up inside my body, the feelings that motivate me to move forward in my goals.
I wonder what inspires you? and do you recognise the different sensations in your body when you feel different emotions?
Going back to my thought of missing my family, the feeling generated in my allows me to recognisei my love for them and that is ok, but dwelling on the thought is not beneficial for me on anybody else.

So I suggest today for you to recognise the thoughts going through your mind, acknowledge them and if the sensations and emotions they generate feel uncomfortable  then move on from them.
Just look around you... see what you see, hear what you hear and search for what is good...then notice the good feelings these thoughts generate.

Another good habit to get into is to have a gratitude journal, just write in it each day, 5 things that you are grateful for.  Doing this is a great way of re directing your brain, building new neural pathways that encourage you to think of the good things in life, things that make you feel good now!

As part of my goal to increase my business portfolio, I have been  updating my website and will be posting monthly Special Offers for Hypnosis and for Massage.
I am loving hearing the phone ring as it is acknowledgment for me that this wonderful way of communicating to the world really does work!

So when you have had a browse through my site and decided that you really could do with looking after your mind and body, perhaps a 20 minute massage is all that it will take for you to feel good now, pick up the phone, ring my number and book in your appointment before the end of October!

I look forward to hearing from you...
