Its that time of the year again here in Australia.... It seems like every man and his dog is out running around Mooloolaba, preparing for a race or a Triathlon.
With this in mind I decided to re-post this article from my friend and colleague, Alistair Horscroft's site as it explains the benefits of Hypnosis and NLP to help you improve your performance whatever your chosen sport.
Then check out the rest of my site where you will notice that you can experience:
3 Hypnosis/NLP sessions for just - $300 |

Happy New Year!
Its that time of year again... When I am out and about either walking the dogs, Cycling or on my regular run i see them everywhere... the people with the new bikes, the new running shoes etc., All out starting a new fitness regime.
Don't get me wrong, I think it is great that so many people want to look after their health and are out there doing something about it, trouble is that so many people start out with a wonderful sense of enthusiasm, then after a few weeks other priorities get in the way and for various reasons they forget about their resolution, they steadily fall back into their old patterns of behaviour and before they know it. |

In two days time we will be into the 12th Month of the Year.. December. Each year seems to pass quicker than the last, but when we stop and look back, we realise how much has changed or perhaps not..
I know with my small goals in running, how much further I can now run and how much my fitness has improved by constantly lacing up my trainers and heading outdoors to run.
If you are reading this and a part of you is wishing you had made the effort to increase your health and fitness this year. |

Did you know that diets don't work?
The weight loss industry is one of the most successful business's in the world because it's success is built on other people's failures. They come off one diet and then go on another one, again and again. Each time as they slow down their metabolism, once these people come off their diets and start to eat the foods they had deprived themselves of, they put the weight back on and often end up weighing more than before starting the diet. This is sometimes referred to as yoyo dieting. |

Why do I run?
My first intention was to get a little fitter and lose some body fat.
Eighteen months later and I am still running. My reasons now are many, for instance, I am 52 years old and had begun to notice a few aches and pains in my joints, particularly my right hip joint and used to have aching feet and ankles when I took my first few steps out of bed in a morning. This has all disappeared, I now bounce out of bed early every morning without any though of aches or pains in any form. |

Hello!
How quickly time flies when we are having fun...
I can hardly believe that I have been back home on the Sunshine Coast for six weeks now! It seems like only yesterday that I was leaving the UK and my family there to return home.
When I sit for a while and find my mind wandering.. it is easy to allow myself to miss my family but then I catch myself and realise it is my choice to wallow in my misery by reacting to the thought going through my mind ... or...
I can recognise the thought and acknowledge it and then move on to other thoughts, such as. |

Well here I am back home....
It is Sunday Evening, the weather this weekend has been glorious and I have loved spending time enjoying the sunshine, walking along the beach with my Hubby and little Poodles, watching the dogs chase each other, happy playing and living in the moment.. pure bliss :-)
So much has happened since my last post....
We learn so much about ourselves with the events that happen in our lives and how interesting it was for me when I discovered both my British and Australian passports were missing. |

I can hardly believe that my six month trip is almost over... Although, as I look at my daughter and see the transformation in her, i know my time has been well spent. She has lost almost two and a half stone in weight and has much more energy, together with a radiant glow about her, it is almost like we had lost her for a few years and her energy has now returned :-)
I have established a special bond with my little grandson that time and distance can never erase. He is my little pal, we have spent many hours walking on the beach and along the old railway track, searching for treasure sticks. |

5 weeks to go....
I can hardly believe it has been so long since I wrote my blog... what excuse can I give... I wonder...
Ok I have been busy (how lame does this sound) The truth is that other priorities seem to have got in the way of my usual daily routine.
Looking after my 4 year old grandson has been my main distraction, plus my daughter moving from one place to another beautiful rented home in this wonderful Yorkshire countryside. The views from my bedroom window are awesome, just looking out at the endless green fields and hearing the sound of sheep in the distance together with birdsong leaves me with an inner sense of peace. |

Well Here I am... Half way through my 6 month visit to the UK. How the time has flown by!
My Daughter has recovered amazingly well after her surgery and has lost over one and a half stone in weight, she has heaps more energy and is working, having fun and walking most days to assist her in achieving her desired weight.
I am loving being close to my Grandson and sharing experiences such as his first days at nursery school, he is loving making new friends especially the girls! he is a pleasure to be around and . |
